Der Siam Square ist hier bekannt als das moderne Zentrum Bangkoks. In Realitaet ist das Stadtviertel ein Konglomerat von Mega-Stores die viele Einkaufszentren Europas als sehr alt aussehen lassen. Die Zentren beherbergen Kinos mit bis zu 1100 Plaetzen, Restaurants mit Essen aus wirklich aller Welt, Kilometer lange Wege durch unzaehlbare Shops die ein Angebot an Produkten an den Tag legen wie es bei uns nicht vorstellbar waere. Wer das noetige Kleingeld besitzt kann hier sogar seinen Lamorghini im 4 Stock abholen. Das ganze Areal wird durch eine Hochbahn auf zwei Stoeckwerken, hunderten Tuktuks und Taxis, mit einer, so scheint es, unerschoepflichen Anzahl Konsumenten versorgt. Selbst Moenche machen hier halt um der bunten Konsumwelt zu froehnen.
Der Ort ist wie ein Bienenstock und entzieht uns so viel Energie, dass wir uns am Abend erst mal wieder von der Superlative erholen mussten.
Siam Square is known as the modern centre of Bangkok. In reality, this place is a conglomerate of mega stores that makes many store in europe look very old and tiny. These centres are home for cinemas with up to 1100 seats, restaurants with food from literally all over the globe and kilometers of pathways to roam through shops which offer a variaty of products, bigger than in any dream. If you have enough pocket money you can even pick up your Lamborghini, directly off the shelf on 4th floor. A two-level sky train, hundrets of tuk-tuks and taxis supply this area with an, it seems, unexhaustable amount of consumers. Even monks cannot resist of enjoying the happy consumers world.
This place is a beehive and took so much energie from us that we could do nothing but relax in the evening and recover from the madness at Siam Square.
